GOLD STAR WIDOWS -

ART THERAPY

Alive Project FOR UA

Our ongoing project "Alive - Real Love Stories" is a successful art therapy initiative, providing emotional and psychological support to women and girls who have lost loved ones in the war, through workshops in oil painting and creative expression through letter writing.

Created in January 2023, so far, the project has reached more than 250 women in Ukrainian cities to date and has a waiting list of 400.

OUR GOAL

To respond to the many women asking to be part of this successful initiative, to reach and support more women in more Cities, as soon as possible.

ALIVE PROJECT FOR UA

Each workshop offers a safe, supportive space for women to channel their grief and memories into art and emotive letters, often resulting in treasured family heirlooms.

With guidance from professional artists, these women—most of whom have no previous art experience—learn to express and process their experiences, helping in their recovery journey.

FORCES OF RECOVERY UKRAINE

Currently, the project operates in Kyiv and plans to expand to Lviv and Rivne, with

the aim of reaching even more women affected by the conflict.

Participation is free, with materials funded by donations. Workshops require canvases, paints, and other materials, often sourced at discounted rates from Ukrainian supplier ROSA. The project also covers costs for creative space venue rentals and exhibition areas.

Future workshops are scheduled across Kyiv, Dnipro and Haivoron, we are hoping to expand

to Lviv and Rivne and waiting lists there, with your help. Each exhibition not only showcases these personal stories but also serves as a way to honor fallen heroes while fostering community support and awareness.
